12th Street West Water Main Improvement Project

Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. NOTE: In some circumstances, weekends and extended hours may be necessary.
Roads Affected
12th Street West, Payne Avenue
Project Objective
JEA upgraded a portion of water main on 12th Street West to Payne Avenue. Once completed, this project will provide improved system reliability.
Construction Conditions
Construction occurred in the City’s streets, rights of way and easements.
Water Outages
Some customers will experience minor interruptions to their water service. JEA will notify customers 48 hours prior to any planned outages. Residents may also experience a brief (10 to 15 minutes) outage while crews transfer customers from the old water service to the new water service.
Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area will begin once the lines have been installed, tested and cleared for use. Any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways, or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to their pre-construction condition.
