Bayou Bluff Emergency Sewer Improvement Project

This project has been completed. Below is the information provided to customers prior to the project start date. 

Completion date does not include final restoration of the project area. 

JEA crews are currently making repairs to a failed section of sanitary sewer main and manhole located in front of the JEA sewer pump station at 9733 Bayou Bluff Drive.

Conditions During Construction 

Construction will occur in the City’s streets, rights-of-way and easements. For the safety of our crews and the general public, Bayou Bluff Drive between Grenshaw Court and and Stillwood Drive will be closed to through traffic during construction. Please observe all construction signs, detours, and general directions provided by the JEA crews working onsite. We apologize in advance for delays caused by this work.

Detour Route 

Residents that live in the Oxford Oaks and Cypress Hammock subdivisions will be unable to use Bayou Bluff Road from Grenshaw Court to Stilwood Drive as a cut through to either Sunbeam Road or Old St. Augustine Road. Oxford Oaks residents will access their subdivision Sunbeam Road from Melvina Road. Cypress Hammock residents will access their subdivision from Old St. Augustine Road from Laurelwood Drive.

Restoration of Project Area 

Restoration of the project area will begin after the sewer main has been in-stalled and the dewatering system removed. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
