Project Objective
JEA crews replaced a section of water main on Bertha Street between Alice Street and Merrill Avenue. This segment of water main had reached the end of its useful service life and was replaced to ensure the reliability of the water system that serves your neighborhood. This project will provide increased water pressure and improved system reliability.
Construction Conditions
Construction primarily occurred in City of Jacksonville rights-of-way, roads, and easements.
Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area typically begins 2-3 weeks after the new water line has been installed, tested and cleared for use. Any existing grass, sprinklers, pavement, curb, gutter, driveways and/or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
