Bluewater Drive Sewer Improvement Project
Project Objective
Good news! JEA crews recently completed work to rehabilitate the manhole lining on Bluewater Drive near Perico Bay Court in the Coastal Oaks Community. Rehabilitation of this manhole was necessary to ensure the reliability of the sewer system that serves your neighborhood. Failures to sewer manholes can potentially cause major sewer back-ups, environmental harm and roadway issues.
This project was completed using a trenchless injection technology and spray solution that allows for the rehabilitation of the existing manhole with minimal disruption to the community. This technology also reduces the amount of time it would take to complete a similar project using traditional construction methods.
Restoration of the Project Area
In the next few weeks, JEA crews and contractors will begin final restoration of the disturbed work area to include milling and resurfacing of a section of Bluewater Drive near Perico Bay Court. Further details will be provided to the community once the paving dates have been scheduled by the contractor.
Any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways, or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to their pre-construction condition.
