Bridier Street Sewer Improvement Project

Project Objective

JEA crews will soon be in your area making repairs to a failing sanitary sewer line located on Bridier Street between E. 11th Street and Dyal Street. This sewer line must be proactively repaired to ensure the reliability of the sewer system that serves your neighborhood. Failures to sewer lines can potentially cause major sewer back-ups, environmental harm and roadway issues.

*NOTE: Due to unforeseen circumstances involving design of this project, construction has been postponed.

Construction Conditions

For the safety of our crews and the general public, JEA crews will be required to temporarily close and detour traffic on Bridier Street between E. 11th Street and Dyal Street while this work is completed. Please see the work area and detour map below.

Residents will be provided access and will be permitted to drive (with caution) through the work area. Please observe all construction signs, detours and general directions provided by the crews working on-site.

For the safety of our crews, dewatering pumps to remove ground water will be required prior to excavation. These pump systems will operate continuously 24/7 throughout the work.

This work will not affect your normal water, sewer and/or electric service. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience caused by this construction work.

Restoration of the Project Area

Restoration of the project area typically begins 2-3 weeks after the new sewer service has been installed, tested and cleared for use. Any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways or sidewalks disturbed during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
