Broad Oak Drive Emergency Sewer Repair Project
Estimated Dates & Work Schedule
Anticipated End Date: 2019-02-28
Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. NOTE: In some circumstances, weekends and extended hours may be necessary.
Project Objective
While making repairs to a 13-foot deep sewer main on Broad Oak Drive and McCormick Road, JEA crews encountered additional portions of the sewer line in need of repair at or near the following locations:
- 11442 McCormick Road
- 2084 Broad Oak Drive
- 2087 Broad Oak Drive
- 2092 Broad Oak Drive
- 2095 Broad Oak Drive
This work also required the removal of ground water with pump systems prior to construction. These pump systems operated continuously during the repairs. Failures to sewer lines can potentially cause major sewer back-ups and roadway issues.
Construction Conditions
Construction will occur in the City’s streets, rights of way and easements. For the safety of our crews and the general public, a portion the road may be temporarily closed and traffic detoured around the construction area. Please observe all construction signs, detours, and general directions provided by the JEA crews working onsite. We apologize in advance for delays caused by this work.
Temporary Road Closure and Detour
For the safety of our crews and the general public, JEA will be required to temporarily detour traffic while this work is completed.
Residents will be permitted to drive with caution through the project area. Please observe all construction signs, detours and general directions provided by the JEA crews working on site. We apologize in advance for delays caused by this work.
Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area will begin soon after the sewer line has been installed, inspected and cleared for use. Upon completion of the work, any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
