Buffalo Avenue Water Main Improvement Project

Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. NOTE: In some circumstances, night, weekend and extended hours may be necessary. JEA crews will not work on City of Jacksonville holidays.
Project Objective
JEA replaced and upgraded a portion of the existing water main on Buffalo Avenue between 44th Street East and 50th Street East. This work included the installation of three (3) new fire hydrants. This project will provide increased water pressure, provide improved system reliability and fire protection.
Construction Conditions
Construction occurred in the City’s rights of way, streets and easements.

Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area will begin once the water main has been installed, tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
