Project Objective

JEA will be replacing a failing section of the sewer main on Camden Avenue. This repair work will occur in the street in front of 2149 Camden Avenue. JEA has attempted to make temporary repairs to this sewer main over the past few years. This project will completely remove and replace a portion of the old sewer line, providing a permanent fix to the problem.

Construction Conditions

Construction will occur in the City’s streets, rights of way and easements. Every effort will be made to ensure the flow of traffic is properly maintained. Detour signs and barricades will be posted to guide vehicles around the construction area.

Installation of Temporary Road

Unfortunately, due to Camden Avenue being a dead end road, JEA will be required to build a temporary road around the work area. This temporary road will be installed along the City right-of-way portion of 2149, 2203 and 2215 Camden Avenue. Please be careful and drive slowly through the detour.

This construction work will also block several driveways (2148 Camden Avenue) for the duration of the project. We apologize in advance for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we improve your utilities.

Restoration of Project Area

Restoration of the project area will begin after the sewer main has been installed and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
