Cedar Point Road Electric Improvement Project

Project Objective
JEA upgraded and replaced some of the power poles, transformers, fuses and the main electrical service lines along Cedar Point Road from Boney Road to Sawpit Road. The upgraded distribution system will improve your overall electric system reliability and prevent future unplanned power outages in this area.
JEA has completed work on this construction project. However, other utilities (AT&T and Comcast) still need to transfer their lines from the old poles to the new poles. Once this process has been completed, JEA will return to remove the old poles.
Construction Conditions
Construction primarily occurred in City of Jacksonville rights-of-way, roads, and easements.

Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area typically begins 2-3 weeks after the project has been completed. Any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways and/or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
