Commonwealth Avenue - N. Ellis to Lafayette Water Improvement Project

Project Objective
JEA crews upgraded and replaced portions of the potable water lines on Commonwealth Avenue between Ellis Road North and Lafayette Drive. This work also included the installation of one (1) new fire hydrant. This project will increase water pressure, provide improved system reliability and increase fire protection.
Construction Conditions
Construction occurred in the City’s rights of way, streets and easements. 
Restoration of Project Area
Restoration of the project area will typically begin 2-3 weeks after the water main has been installed, tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
