Project Objective
A contractor working for JEA (IPR) has completed work to replace and upgrade failing sanitary sewer mains on portions of Corona Road and LeMaster Drive. This project will increase the reliability of the sewer system and help prevent future sanitary sewer main breaks and overflows.
This sewer installation was completed using the pipe bursting method of construction. This method is less disruptive to neighborhoods than the traditional open-cut method of replacing sewer lines and the overall project duration is typically much shorter.
Watch a video to learn more about the pipe bursting method of construction.
Restoration of the project area will be completed during the month of July.
Construction Conditions
Construction primarily occurred in the County’s streets, rights of way and easements.

Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area will begin once the lines have been installed, tested and cleared for use. Any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways, or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to their pre-construction condition.
Even Better Power Reliability
JEA's state-of-the-art technology identifies customers and neighborhoods in need of electric reliability improvements.
