Estimated Dates & Work Schedule
Anticipated End Date: 2019-08-23
Regular work hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. NOTE: In some circumstances, night and weekend work hours may be necessary.
Project Objective
JEA recently completed a portion of the cleaning and inspection of the sanitary sewer mains and lateral connections that serve the Deercreek community. As a result of these inspections, JEA has identified areas that will require immediate replacement and/or rehabilitation on Deercreek Club Road East between Stratford Chase Lane and Bishop Club Road North. Failures to sewer lines can potentially cause sewer back-ups and roadway issues.
Due to the depth and location of the sewer line, crews will be will be required to install shoring and remove the ground water to safely excavate around the area to make the necessary repairs. Pumps will be required to run continuously throughout construction. For the safety of our crews and the general public, traffic will be detoured around the work area.
Construction Conditions
Construction will occur in the City’s streets, rights of way and easements. For the safety of our crews and the general public, JEA will be required to temporarily close the intersection of Deercreek Club Road East and detour traffic around the construction. Please plan ahead for delays.
Residents that live within the work area will be permitted to drive with caution through the construction area to their homes. Please observe all construction signs, detours, and general directions provided by the JEA crews working onsite.
Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area will begin after the sewer line has been repaired, tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
