Dostie Drive Water Main Improvement Project

Dostie Drive East, Dostie Drive South, Richardson Road, Washington Estates Drive

Project Objective

JEA has completed a project to replace an existing water main on Dostie Drive South from Richardson Road to Dostie Drive East, and on Dostie Drive East from Dostie Drive South to Washington Estates Drive.

This work also included the installation of four (4) new fire hydrants. When completed, this project will increase water pressure and provide improved system reliability and fire protection.

Construction Conditions

Construction will be done in the City’s rights of way and easements. There will be times when your road will have limited access while the water main is being installed. JEA will maintain the flow of traffic, although residents may experience some minor delays.

Water Outages

Some customers will experience minor interruptions to their water service. JEA will notify customers 48 hours prior to any planned outages. Residents may also experience a brief (10 to 15 minutes) outage while crews transfer your home from the old water service to the new water service.

Restoration of Project Area

Restoration of the project area will begin once the water lines are installed and have been tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
