Downtown Historic Streetlight Project

NOTE: In some circumstances, extended hours and weekends may be necessary.
Project Objective
Working in partnership with the City of Jacksonville, JEA is continuing to install new energy efficient LED historic streetlights throughout Jacksonville’s downtown core. Once installed, these new lights will be energy efficient, decorative and provide for a brighter and safer downtown.
Following the light installations, crews will complete the underground portion of the work necessary to connect the electric service to power the new streetlights.
Construction Conditions
In preparation for this work, you may notice several locate markings and/or flags. Any paint you may observe is temporary and biodegradable. These markings are used to locate the public right of way and existing underground utilities.
For the safety of our workers and the general public, access to some sidewalks will be temporarily limited while crews are working. Please observe all detour signs and instructions provided by the crew.
