Project Objective
JEA upgraded and replaced the main electric feeder line that serves your area. This work will increase the amperage capacity of the power line, thereby reducing chances of overloading the circuit which can lead to unplanned power outages. The new upgraded feeder will be able to handle three times the capacity as the old feeder. In addition, JEA also replaced any old or deteriorated power poles along the project route, as well as installed new conductor, trip savers, transformers and hook switches, which will also provide for better power quality and reliability.
Construction Conditions
Construction primarily occurred in City of Jacksonville rights-of-way, roads, and easements.

Restoration of Project Area
Restoration of the project area typically begins 2-3 weeks after the power line has been repaired, tested and cleared for use. Any existing pavement, curb, grass, driveway, sidewalk, or sod unintentionally damaged during construction will be returned to their pre-construction condition.
Even Better Power Reliability
JEA's state-of-the-art technology identifies customers and neighborhoods in need of electric reliability improvements.
