Estimated Dates & Work Schedule
Anticipated End Date: 2021-10-15
Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
*In some circumstances, weekends and extended hours may be necessary.
Project Objective
JEA crews replaced a failing sanitary sewer manhole on E. 8th Street between Franklin Street and Haines Street. This work was necessary to ensure the reliability of the sewer system that serves the neighborhood. Failures to sewer manholes can potentially cause major sewer back-ups, environmental harm and roadway issues.
Construction Conditions
Construction occurred in City of
Jacksonville rights-of-way and easements.
Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area typically begins 2-3 weeks after the new sewer line has been installed, tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
Even Better Power Reliability
JEA's state-of-the-art technology identifies customers and neighborhoods in need of electric reliability improvements.
