Project Objective
JEA crews upgraded and replaced the existing water main on Easter Street and Arlington Road. This work also included the installation of a new fire hydrant on Easter Street. This project will provide increased water pressure, improved system reliability and enhanced fire protection to the area.
Construction Conditions
the next phase of the project, crews will be installing new water main on Arlington Road between Bretta Street and University Boulevard. For the safety of our crews and the general public, Arlington Road between Bretta Street and University Boulevard will be closed to thru traffic while this work is being completed. Temporary road closures may also be required at the intersection of Easter Street and Arlington Road when crews tie the new water main into the existing water main. Please see the detour and project area map below.

Residents will be provided access to homes and permitted to drive (with caution) within the work area. Please observe all construction signs, detours and general directions provided by the crews working on-site.
Some customers may experience minor interruptions to their water service. JEA will notify customers at least 48-hours prior to any planned water outages. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience caused by this construction work.

Restoration of Project Area
Restoration of the project area typically begins 2-3 weeks after the new water main has been installed, tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
Even Better Power Reliability
JEA's state-of-the-art technology identifies customers and neighborhoods in need of electric reliability improvements.
