Fairfax Well #4 Well Rehabilitation Project

Project Objective 

This project has been completed. See below for details of each phase. 

Phase I
JEA has completed the first phase in rehabilitation of the potable water well located near the corner of Fairfax Street and W. 25th Street. This well is one of over 122 active wells that are part of a larger JEA regional water supply transmission system. 

Phase 2
JEA returned to complete the second phase of the rehabilitation of this well. This work will involve the replacement of the above ground equipment that serves the well. 

Once construction has been completed, this rehabilitated well will improve our systems overall water pressure, reliability and continue to provide a robust water supply system throughout JEA’s service territory. 

Construction Conditions

Construction activities will take place on JEA’s property, and within the City of Jacksonville rights of way, easements and roads. The contractor fenced the entire work area for the safety of the general public. W
