Project Objective
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) completed a project to reconstruct and widen of Pecan Park Road (SR-243) from I-95 to east of Lexington Park Boulevard. Upon completion, this project will provide much needed capacity improvements and improve traffic conditions through the roadway corridor.
JEA Infrastructure Improvements
In an effort to resolve the conflicts between JEA’s existing utilities and the proposed roadway improvements, the utility reconstruction work will be performed by the Florida Department of Transportation's Design/Build firm via the terms of our existing Inter-Local Agreement. JEA will also be adding new water and sewer force mains within the project limits to improve the reliability of the systems.
