Project Objective
This Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) project includes the replacement of corrugated metal drainage pipes (CMPs) not constructed in the Phase 1 drainage project completed in 2016. Project includes other associated roadway improvements and reconstruction of existing failing gravity walls at St. Johns Bluff Road and Gately Road. Upon completion, this project will provide much needed capacity improvements and improve traffic conditions through the roadway corridor.
JEA Infrastructure Improvements
In an effort to resolve the conflicts between JEA’s existing utilities and the proposed roadway improvements, the utility reconstruction work will be performed by the Florida Department of Transporation’s Design/Build firm via the terms of our existing Inter-Local Agreement. JEA will also be adding new water and sewer force mains within the project limits to improve the reliability of the systems.
