Fortune Parkway Emergency Manhole Repair Project

This project has been completed. Below is the information provided to customers prior to the project start date. 

JEA crews will be repairing three (3) failing sanitary sewer manholes near 10321 Fortune Parkway.  Failures to sewer manholes can potentially cause major sewer back-ups and roadway issues. 

*Estimated Completion date is September 15, 2017

Work Schedule

Crews will be working Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and in some circumstances weekend and extended hours may be  necessary.

Conditions During Construction

Construction will occur in the City’s streets, rights-of-way and easements. For the safety of our crews and the general public, a portion of Fortune Parkway will be closed between 10321 Fortune Parkway and 10255 Fortune Parkway. Please plan ahead for traffic delays. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.  

Temporary Traffic Detour Route 

Traffic traveling south on Fortune Parkway will turn right on Malabar Road, left on Southside Boulevard, left on Philips Highway and left on Fortune Parkway. Traffic traveling north on Fortune Parkway will turn right on Philips Highway, right on Southside Boulevard, right on Malabar Boulevard and right on Fortune Parkway.  

Restoration of the Project Area

Restoration of the project area will begin after the sanitary sewer manhole has been installed, tested, cleared for use and the dewatering system removed. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition. 

*Completion date is highly subject to change. Completion date does not include final restoration of the project area.
