Estimated Dates & Work Schedule
Anticipated End Date: 2019-08-31
Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. NOTE: In some circumstances, weekends and extended hours may be necessary.
Project Objective
JEA crews replaced a failing sanitary sewer manhole located at 12906 Gran Bay Parkway West near the intersection of Corklan Drive. Failures to sewer manholes can potentially cause sewer back-ups and roadway issues.
As this manhole was over 20-feet deep, extensive dewatering to remove ground water with pump systems was required. These pump systems operated continually throughout the project.
Construction Conditions
Construction primarily occurred in the City of Jacksonville rights of way, roads and easements. Crews were required to temporarily close all lanes on a portion of Gran Bay Parkway West in both directions for the duration of the project.
