Project Objective
As part of JEA’s commitment to improving the quality and reliability of your sewer service, we recently performed routine inspections of assets throughout our service territory. We have completed inspections of the sewer step systems in the Greenridge community. Proactive inspections can help identify potential issues before they occur.
Phase 1
JEA employees inspected each sewer step system to ensure it was level and that the lid was not damaged or in need of replacement. If an issue was found during the inspection phase that required immediate attention, a repair was scheduled and residents notified 24 hours in advance (when possible).
Phase 2
For any standard issues identified during the inspections, JEA or a licensed JEA contractor will return at a later date to make the necessary repairs (usually within three weeks). We will notify the resident 24 hours in advance.

To report an issue with the sewer step system that serves your home, please contact JEA at (904) 665-6000. Please remember that the gravity sewer line that runs from the home to the sewer step system tank as well as the electrical power that runs to the control panel to operate the pump are the responsibility of the homeowner.
