NOTE: Start and completion dates are subject to change, and in some instances occasional night and weekend work hours may be necessary. Crews will not be working on JEA holidays.
Project Objective
JEA has completed work in the Hampton Glen Place neighborhood to upgrade the electric equipment that serves the area. A contractor working for JEA (Heart Utilities, Inc.) installed new underground cabling serving homes and businesses. This work involved installation through underground boring of new PVC conduit followed by the pulling of the new electric cables. This project will help to improve the overall quality and reliability of the electric service in the area.
Construction Conditions
The majority of this work took place along Hampton Glen Place (please refer to the work area map below). Construction primarily occurred in the City of Jacksonville rights of way, roads and easements.
Restoration of Project Area
Restoration of the project area will begin after the new electric cabling has been installed, tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
