Estimated Dates & Work Schedule
Anticipated End Date: 2020-12-23
Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.*
*Note: In some circumstances, extended hours and weekends may be required.
Project Objective
JEA crews have completed a project to replace a portion of a failing sanitary sewer manhole and main on Hendricks Avenue between Cedar Street and LaSalle Street. This had to be proactively replaced to ensure the reliability of the sewer system that serves the neighborhood. Failures to sewer lines can potentially cause major sewer back-ups, harm to the environment and roadway issues.
Construction Conditions
For the safety of our crews and the general public, we were required to temporarily close and detour a portion of Hendricks Avenue while the work was being completed (please see work area and detour map below).

Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area will typically take place after the sanitary sewer line has been installed, tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
Even Better Power Reliability
JEA's state-of-the-art technology identifies customers and neighborhoods in need of electric reliability improvements.
