Project Objective
JEA rehabilitated an existing potable water well located inside of Alexandria Oaks Park at 1600 Marco Place in the San Marco neighborhood. This well is one of 141 active wells that are part of JEA’s regional water supply transmission system. This work will improve our system’s overall water availability and reliability, while continuing to provide a robust water supply system throughout JEA’s service territory.
A contractor working for JEA (Jacobs/Complete Services) performed rehabilitation services on the well, followed by a period of evaluation and documentation.
Construction Conditions and Restoration of the Project Area
Construction activities took place on JEA’s property and within the City of Jacksonville’s park property, rights-of-way and easements.
