Estimated Dates & Work Schedule
Anticipated End Date: 2021-07-07
Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.*

Project Objective
JEA has completed work to upgrade the electrical equipment that serves the Highland Glen area. A contractor working for JEA (Heart Utilities, Inc.) installed new electric conduit, cables, and manholes. The contractor installed the new conduit with a technique called horizontal directional drilling (HDD). HDD requires very little excavation, reduces construction duration, and is less disruptive to the surrounding community. This project will help to proactively improve the overall quality and reliability of your electric service.
Construction Conditions
Construction primarily occurred in the City of Jacksonville rights of way, roads and easements.

Restoration of Project Area
Restoration of the project area will typically begin 2-3 weeks after the project has been completed. Any existing grass, sprinklers, pavement, curb, gutter, driveways and/or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
Even Better Power Reliability
JEA's state-of-the-art technology identifies customers and neighborhoods in need of electric reliability improvements.
