Project Objective

A contractor working for JEA (Insituform Technologies) will soon be replacing a portion of the sanitary sewer lines that serve your neighborhood. These existing sewer lines have reached the end of their useful service lives and must be proactively replaced to improve the reliability of the sewer system that serves your area, and to prevent any future sewer main breaks. Failures to sewer lines can potentially cause major sewer back-ups, environmental harm, and roadway issues.

This project will be completed using a trenchless lining technology that allows for the rehabilitation of the existing pipe with minimal disruption to the community. This technology also reduces the amount of time it would take to complete a similar project using traditional construction methods. Construction Areas

Construction will occur in City of Jacksonville rights-of-way, roads and easements, primarily behind and beside homes on Inland Drive, Daffodil Circle West, Daffodil Circle East, Goldenrod Circle West, Tulip Circle North and Tulip Circle West.

For the safety of our crews and the public, traffic will be detoured around the project area (see map below). Residents who reside within the project boundaries will be provided access to their homes and are permitted to drive (with caution) within the construction area.

Construction Conditions

There will be times when customers may have limited access when the contractor is working directly in front of homes or businesses. Please observe all construction signs, detours and general directions provided by the crews working on-site.

This construction will not affect normal water, sewer or electric service.

Restoration of the Project Area

Restoration of the project area typically begins soon after the sewer manhole has been installed, tested and cleared for use. Any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways, or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to their pre-construction condition.
