Estimated Dates & Work Schedule
Anticipated End Date: 2020-09-25
Normal work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. However, due to the emergency nature of this project, evening hours and weekends may be required.
Project Objective
JEA replaced a failing sanitary sewer manhole at 580 Islesbrook Parkway near Longleaf Pine Parkway. This manhole was replaced to ensure the reliability of the sewer system that serves the area. Failures to sewer manholes can potentially cause major sewer back-ups, harm to the environment and roadway issues.
Construction Conditions
Construction occurred in City of Jacksonville rights-of-way and easements. For the safety of our crews and the general public, JEA was required to close and detour Islesbrook Parkway at the work location (please see work area map below).
Project Area Map
Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area will begin in the 2-3 weeks following the manhole repair. Any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways, or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to their pre-construction condition.
Even Better Power Reliability
JEA's state-of-the-art technology identifies customers and neighborhoods in need of electric reliability improvements.
