Project Objective

JEA has upgraded and replaced approximately 4,000 linear feet of potable water main along Jammes Road from Wilson Boulevard to Graves Street, and on Graves Street from Jammes Road to Thumper Street (please see the work area map below). These pipes had reached the end of their useful service lives and needed to be proactively replaced to ensure the reliability of the JEA water system in the area.

This work also included the installation of four (4) new fire hydrants. This project will provide increased water pressure, fewer unplanned water repairs, fewer unplanned water outages and enhanced fire protection to the area.

The final phase of this project was to connect individual homes and businesses to the new water line (at the property line), Final paving of the project area is scheduled to take place December 5-9, 2022*

Construction Conditions

For the safety of crews and the general public, there will be periods when area roads will have limited access or detoured while crews are connecting individual homes (at the property line) to the new water line and during final paving of the project area.
