Roads Affected
Acosta Street, Lewis Street, Orion Street, Stockton Street
Project Objective
JEA will be replacing the existing 2-inch water main on Lewis Street from Stockton Street to the end of the road and Acosta Street from Hiland Street to Orion Street.
This work will also include the installation of new individual water services (to the property line) and one (1) new fire hydrant. When completed, this project will increase water pressure, and provide better system reliability.

Construction Conditions
Construction will be done in the City’s rights of way and easements. There will be times when your road will have limited access while the water main is being installed. JEA will maintain the flow of traffic, although residents may experience some minor delays.
Planned Water Outages
Some customers will experience minor interruptions to their water service. JEA will notify customers 48 hours prior to any planned outages. Residents may also experience a brief (10 to 15 minutes) outage while crews transfer your home from the old water service to the new water service.
Restoration of Project Area
Restoration of the project area will begin once the water lines are installed and have been tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
