Lori Drive West Sewer Improvement Project

Project Objective
A contractor working for JEA (IPR) replaced a portion of failing sanitary sewer main line on Lori Drive West near Wynnwood Drive. This project will increase the reliability of the sewer system and help prevent future sewer main breaks.
This sewer installation was completed using the pipebursting method of construction. This method is less disruptive to neighborhoods than the traditional open-cut method of replacing sewer lines, and the overall project duration is typically shorter. Construction Conditions
For the safety of our crews and the general public, we were required to temporarily close a portion of Lori Drive West while this work was being completed.
Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area typically takes place 2-3 weeks after the new sewer line has been installed, tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways and/or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
