Mamie Road Water Main Improvement Project
Estimated Dates & Work Schedule
Anticipated End Date: 2016-04-29
This project has been completed. Below is the information provided to customers prior to the project start date.
Roads Affected
Mamie Road, Lenox Avenue, Verna Boulevard
Project Objective
JEA completed a project to replace 700 feet a 2” water main and upgrade to a 6” water main on Mamie Road between Lenox Avenue and Verna Boulevard. When completed, this project will increase water pressure and provide improved system reliability.
Construction Conditions
Construction will occur in the City’s rights of way, streets and easements. There will be times when your road will have limited access while the water main is being installed. JEA will maintain the flow of traffic, although residents may experience some minor delays.
Water Outages
Some customers will experience minor interruptions to their water service. JEA will notify customers 24 hours prior to any planned outages. Residents may also experience a brief (10 to 15 minutes) outage while crews transfer your home from the old water service to the new water service.
Restoration of Project Area
Restoration of the project area will begin once the water lines are installed and have been tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
Even Better Power Reliability
JEA's state-of-the-art technology identifies customers and neighborhoods in need of electric reliability improvements.
