Project Objective
JEA crews successfully completed emergency repairs to the failing sanitary sewer main near 11428 McCormick Road.
This section of sewer main had reached the end of its useful service life and was replaced to ensure the reliability of the sewer system that serves your neighborhood. Failures to sewer mains can potentially cause major sewer back-ups, environmental harm and roadway issues.
Construction Conditions
Construction primarily occurred in City of Jacksonville rights-of-way, roads, and easements.
Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area typically begins 2-3 weeks after the sewer main has been repaired, tested and cleared for use. Any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways, or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to their pre-construction condition.
JEA contractor crews will return at a later date to complete the permanent paving work. Advanced notifications will be sent prior to the commencement of the asphalt restoration.
