McDuff Well #3 - Well Rehabilitation Project
Estimated Dates & Work Schedule
Anticipated End Date: 2018-06-30
Due to the nature of the well rehabilitation work, the contractor will be onsite 24 hours a day until completion of each phase of the project.
Roads Affected
McKinley Court, Randall Street, Roosevelt Boulevard
Project Objective
JEA completed the rehabilitation of the potable water well located near the corner of Randall Street and Roosevelt Boulevard. This well is one of over 122 active wells that are part of a larger JEA regional water supply transmission system. This rehabilitated well helps improve our systems overall water pressure, reliability and ability to continue to provide a robust water supply system throughout JEA’s service territory.
This work involved several phases that will include documenting the existing condition of the well, cleaning and rehabilitation of the well, as well as replacement of the above ground equipment that serves the well.
Construction Conditions
Construction activities took place on JEA’s property, and within the City of Jacksonville rights of way, easements and roads. The contractor fenced the entire work area for the safety of the general public.
Even Better Power Reliability
JEA's state-of-the-art technology identifies customers and neighborhoods in need of electric reliability improvements.
