McGirts Boulevard Emergency Sewer Repair Project

Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Note: Weekends and extended hours may be necessary.
Project Objective
JEA has completed emergency repairs to a portion of the sanitary sewer line on McGirts Boulevard between Harvard Avenue and Doric Avenue. This portion of sewer line had reached the end of its useful service life and required repair to ensure the reliability of the sewer system that serves your neighborhood. Failures to sewer lines can potentially cause major sewer back-ups and roadway issues.
Restoration of the project area will occur in the coming weeks. Any asphalt, concrete or sod disrupted during construction will be returned to pre-construction condition.
Construction Conditions
Minor tree trimming may be needed. Residents will be permitted to drive (slowly and with caution) through the project area. Please observe all signs, detours and general directions provided by the JEA crews working on site.
Temporary Road Closure
For the safety of our crews and the general public, we were required to temporarily close a portion of McGirts Boulevard between Harvard Avenue and Doric Avenue to complete the repairs. Please see the below work area and detour map.
