Estimated Dates & Work Schedule
Anticipated End Date: 2021-11-12
Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Roads Affected
Lazy Meadow Drive North, Meadowsweet Lane, Trumpet Vine Court
Project Objective
A contractor working for JEA (Heart Utilities, Inc.) completed a project to install new protective conduit and electric cables along Lazy Meadow Drive North, Meadowsweet Lane and Trumpet Vine Court. The contractor installed the new conduit with a technique called horizontal directional drilling (HDD). HDD requires very little excavation, reduces construction duration, and is less disruptive to the surrounding community. Once completed, this project will help to proactively improve the overall quality and reliability of your electric service.
Construction Conditions
Construction will primarily occur in the City of Jacksonville rights of way, roads and easements.
Customers may experience brief power outages as a result of this work. Customers will be notified prior to any prolonged (more than 1 hour) planned electric outages.

Restoration of Project Area
Restoration of the project area will begin soon after the project has been completed. Any existing grass, sprinklers, pavement, curb, gutter, driveways and/or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
Even Better Power Reliability
JEA's state-of-the-art technology identifies customers and neighborhoods in need of electric reliability improvements.
