Oakridge Well #4 Rehabilitation Project
Estimated Dates & Work Schedule
Anticipated End Date: 2018-06-30
Project Objective
JEA has completed rehabilitation of the potable water well located at 3005 Snapper Street adjacent to the Beachwood Community Center and Park. Oakridge Well #4 is one of over 122 active wells that are part of JEA’s regional water supply transmission system. This rehabilitated well will improve our systems overall water pressure, reliability and allow us to continue to provide a robust water supply system throughout JEA’s service territory.
This project was broken into several different phases of work to include the installation of a new well casing and liner, cleaning of the well, pump testing, and the replacement of the above ground equipment.
Conditions During Construction
Construction activities took place on JEA’s property, and within the City of Jacksonville rights of way, easements and roads. The contractor fenced the work area for the safety of the general public.
Even Better Power Reliability
JEA's state-of-the-art technology identifies customers and neighborhoods in need of electric reliability improvements.
