Project Objective
Project Update - February 24, 2016
TRAFFIC ALERT: A portion of Palm Avenue will be closed for final road striping tomorrow (2.25.16) from 9:30 a.m. to Noon.
Project Update - January 20, 2016: JEA has completed paving on Palm Avenue ahead of schedule. The road is now open to all traffic and will not require a closure on January 21, 2016.
Construction Areas
JEA closed Palm Avenue from Gary Street eastbound to Gary Street westbound (under the Fuller Warren Bridge) from 9 a.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2016 to 4 p.m. Thursday, January 21,2016 (weather permitting).
NOTE: Gary Street is located on both sides of the I-95/Fuller Warren Bridge providing on/off ramp access to I-95.
Traffic will be able to continue to exit from I-95 South on to Palm Avenue South or Gary Street East. Traffic traveling along Palm Avenue South from the Baptist Hospital parking areas will continue to have normal access to the I-95 North on-ramp by turning right. Please review the detour map on this page as this can be somewhat confusing.
Area hospitals, the Jacksonville Sherriff’s Office and Jacksonville Fire and Rescue have been notified of this closure.
Even Better Power Reliability
JEA's state-of-the-art technology identifies customers and neighborhoods in need of electric reliability improvements.
