Pearl Street and West 63rd Street Sewer Improvement Project
Estimated Dates & Work Schedule
Anticipated End Date: 2018-11-30
Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m..
NOTE: in some circumstances, weekend and extended hours may be necessary.
Project Objective
JEA crews repaired a portion of a sanitary sewer main at the intersection of Pearl Street and West 63rd Street. Failures to sewer mains can potentially cause major sewer back-ups and roadway issues. For the safety of our crew, this work required the removal of ground water with pump systems prior to construction. These pump systems operated continuously during the repairs.
Construction Conditions
Construction occurred in the City’s streets, rights of way and easements. For the safety of our crews and the general public, a portion of Pearl Street at the intersection of West 63rd Street was closed and traffic was detoured around the construction area.
Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area will begin after the sewer main has been repaired, tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
Even Better Power Reliability
JEA's state-of-the-art technology identifies customers and neighborhoods in need of electric reliability improvements.
