Project Objective
JEA crews will be replacing a portion of failing sanitary sewer main near 4563 Pearl Street North. As this sewer line is very deep, this work will require the removal of ground water with a pump system prior to the pipe installation.
Conditions During Construction
Construction will occur in the City’s street, rights of way and easements. Pearl Street North will be closed to thru traffic from Linwood Avenue to Long Branch Boulevard. Residents will be permitted to drive, with caution through the construction area. Please observe all construction signs, detours, and general directions provided by the JEA crews working onsite. We apologize in advance for delays caused by this work.
Detour Route
Traffic travelling north on Pearl Street North will turn right on Long Branch Boulevard, left on Silver Street, left on 36th Street West, and right on Pearl Street North.
Traffic travelling south on Pearl Street North will turn right on Linwood Avenue, left on Perry Street, left on Long Branch Boulevard and right on Pearl Street North.
Restoration of Project Area
Restoration of the project area will begin after the sewer main has been installed and the dewatering system removed. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
