This project has been completed. Below is the information provided to customers prior to the project start date.

Roads Affected

Colton Street, Perkins Place

Project Objective

JEA will be replacing and upgrading the existing water main on Perkins Place from Colton Street to 990 Perkins Place. This work will also include the installation of new individual water services (to the property line). When completed, this project will increase water pressure, and provide better system reliability.

Construction Conditions

Construction will be done in the City’s rights of way and easements. There will be times when your road will have limited access while the water main is being installed. JEA will maintain the flow of traffic, although residents may experience some minor delays.

Water Outages

Some customers will experience minor interruptions to their water service. JEA will notify customers 48 hours prior to any planned outages. Residents may also experience a brief (10 to 15 minutes) outage while crews transfer your home from the old water service to the new water service.

Restoration of Project Area

Restoration of the project area will begin once the water lines are installed and have been tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
