Estimated Dates & Work Schedule
Anticipated End Date: 2018-02-28
The original project to install a new water main has been completed. Below is the information provided to nearby customers.
Project Objective
JEA replaced a portion of the water main on Polk Avenue and Tyler Avenue from Clyde Street to Grand Street, reversing service from the rear of homes to the front. This work also included the installation of three (3) new fire hydrants. A licensed plumber hired by JEA installed new water pipes on properties to connect homes to the new water line. All work was done at no cost to the property owner.
Construction Conditions
Once the plumber begins work on the individual connections, construction should be completed in 1-2 days.
Restoration of the Project Area
Once connections have been completed, the plumber will restore any grass or sidewalks disturbed during construction. The old water line will then be filled with grout and left in place in the ground.
JEA will restore the overall project area once the individual service connections to the new water line have been completed.
Even Better Power Reliability
JEA's state-of-the-art technology identifies customers and neighborhoods in need of electric reliability improvements.
