Project Objective
JEA crews replaced multiple fire hydrants in the South Ponte Vedra area along Ponte Vedra Boulevard. These hydrants required additional maintenance due to salt water corrosion, and were proactively replaced to ensure the continued quality and reliability of the fire hydrants that serve your area. Crews installed an upgraded hydrants that look identical to the existing hydrants but includes stainless steel hardware along with an epoxy primed and coated body to protect from the elements. This project will reduce hydrant deterioration time and frequent maintenance issues due to environmental impacts.
Construction Conditions
Construction primarily occurred along the St. Johns County rights-of-way and easements.

Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area typically begins 2-3 weeks after the project has been completed. Any existing grass, sprinklers, pavement, curb, gutter, driveways and/or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
