This project has been completed. Below is the information that was provided to customers prior to the project start date.

Roads Affected

East 46th Street, East 47th Street, East 48th Street, Edmonson Avenue, Rose Avenue

Project Objective

JEA will be replacing and upgrading the existing water main on Rose Avenue from 46th Street to E. 48th Street, E. 48th Street from Rose Street to the dead end, E. 47th Street from Rose Avenue to Edmonson Avenue.

Construction Conditions

Construction will be done in the City rights of way and easements. There will be times when roads will have limited access while the water main is installed but the flow of traffic will be maintained.

Sections of driveways will be removed and replaced to install the pipe. Residents will be notified in advance by crews to allow for removal of vehicles prior to driveway construction.

Water Outages and Restoration of Project Area

Some customers will experience minor interruptions to their water service. JEA will notify customers 48 hours prior to any planned outages. Residents may also experience a brief (10 - 15 minutes) outage while crews transfer your home from the old water service to the new water service.

Restoration of the project area will begin once the water lines are installed and have been tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing grass, curb, swales, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its preconstruction condition.
