Project Objective
JEA crews replaced the existing water main on Rosselle Street from Beautyrest Avenue to Sumter Road, on Hancock Road from Beautyrest Avenue to Sumter Road, on Sumter Road from Hancock Road to Benning Road, and on Stimson Road from Hancock Road to Benning Road. This section of water line had reached the end of its useful service lives and needed to be proactively replaced to ensure the reliability of the water system that serves the area.
This work also included the installation of two (2) new fire hydrants. When completed, this project will provide increased water pressure, improved system reliability and enhanced fire protection to the area.
Construction Conditions
Work primarily occurred in City of Jacksonville rights-of-way and easements.

Restoration of Project Area
Restoration of the project area will begin after the new water main has been installed, tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned pre-construction condition.
