Santa Monica Boulevard South Water Main Improvement Project

This project has been completed. Below is the information provided to customers prior to the project start date.
Project Objective
JEA will be replacing and upgrading the existing 2” water main on Santa Monica Boulevard South beginning at Revelstoke Drive to 5676 Santa Monica Boulevard near University Boulevard. When completed, this project will increase water pressure and provide improved system reliability.
Conditions During Construction
Construction will occur in the City’s rights of way and easements. There will be times when the road will have limited access while the water main is being installed. JEA will maintain the flow of traffic, although residents may experience some minor delays.
Water Outages
Some customers will experience minor interruptions to their water service. JEA will notify customers 48 hours prior to any planned outages. Residents may also experience a brief (10 to 15 minutes) outage while crews transfer customers from the old water service to the new water service.
Restoration of Project Area
Restoration of the project area will begin once the water line has been in-stalled, tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing pavement, grass, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
