Project Objective
A contractor working for JEA (Vortex Companies) rehabilitated multiple sanitary sewer manholes in the South Hampton community. These manholes were proactively rehabilitated to ensure continued reliability of the sewer system that serves the neighborhood. Failures to sewer manholes can potentially cause major sewer back-ups, environmental harm and roadway issues.
Construction Conditions
Construction primarily occurred in City of Jacksonville rights-of-way, roads, and easements.

Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project typically begins 2-3 weeks after the new manholes have been installed, tested and cleared for use. Any existing pavement, grass, curb, gutter, driveways or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
