Springtree Road Sewer Improvement Project

Project Objective
JEA crews replaced a failing sanitary sewer manhole located near the intersection of Springtree Road and Morning Glory Road. Failures to sewer manholes can potentially cause sewer back-ups, environmental harm, and roadway issues.
Construction Conditions
Construction occurred in City of Jacksonville rights-of-way and easements. For the safety of our crews and the general public, we were required to temporarily close and detour traffic at the work location while this work is being completed (see detour map below).
Restoration of the Project Area
Restoration of the project area will typically begin 2-3 weeks after the manhole has been replaced, tested and cleared for use. Upon completion of the project, any existing grass, sprinklers, pavement, curb, gutter, driveways and/or sidewalks affected during construction will be returned to its pre-construction condition.
