Sprinkle Drive Water Main Improvement Project

Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. NOTE: In some circumstances, occasional night and weekend work hours may be necessary. 

The purpose of this project is to replace a portion of the aging potable water infrastructure that serves your area. These pipes have reached the end of their service lives and need to be proactively replaced. When completed, this project will increase water pressure and provide improved system reliability.  

This construction included the replacement of 2,402 linear feet off 8-inch water main on Sprinkle Drive from Terry Parker Drive South to Commerce Street including Brandemere Road North. 

Construction will primarily occur in the City of Jacksonville rights of way, roads and easements. Crews will be required to temporarily close portions of roads to thru-traffic to complete the installation of the water main. These closures are necessary for the both the safety of the workers and the general public. JEA will work with Duval County Public Schools and Arlington Heights Elementary to coordinate the work along Sprinkle Drive to minimize traffic impacts while school is in session. 

Residents who reside within the project boundaries will be provided access to their homes and are permitted to drive (with caution) within the construction area. There will be times when customers may have limited access when crews are working directly in front of homes or businesses. Parents please warn your children of the dangers of walking and playing around construction areas.
